Graphic Designing uses visual composition to communicate an idea through image colour and form. There are several types of Graphic designs, each with their own area of specialization. Each type of graphic design requires a specific set of skills and design techniques.
Elements of Graphic Designing
Line– Line is the most basic design element. The line can be straight, thick, thin. A line is Simply an Element of Design that is Defined by a point moving in space.
Shape– A Shape is a two Dimensional defined area created by line. Different types of shapes include geometric, abstract, and organic shapes all of which are the basic elements of design.
Colour– Color is the most important element in Design because there is a psychology behind the feeling that colour can evoke. The colours make the design more beautiful.
Typography– Typography is the Art and Technique of Arranging type. The typeface you choose and how it works with your layout, grid, colour scheme and so and will make the difference between good and bad design.
Texture– Texture refers to the surface quality of a work of art. We describe things as being rough, smooth, silky, shiny, fuzzy and so on.
Size– size is simply how small or big an element is in relation to other objects within a design. Generally, we use size to make a Particular element stand out or give importance.
Space– The element of Design Space refers to the area within, around, above an object or objects. It is important to creating and understanding both two dimensional work of art.
